I love the name Jaxon. It’s just as good as Jackson, without the drawback of having the nn of Jack. And I like the nn of Jax. How about Jaxon Dane or Jaxson Drew?

I’m going to say the exact opposite of the pp. Jaxon is just like Jackson except it looks trendy, tacky and uneducated. Jackson nn Jax works just fine, gives him a new trendy nickname, but gives him a professional name for when he’s older.

Jamison and Jameson aren’t quite as nice as James.

I agree with above poster that Jackson nn Jax would be a good alternative to Jaxon.
