Dilema vs. with vs. Maria

Hi there! I really would love to honor my mother in the future by naming my daughter after her. But, I dont really like her name, Maria. So I’ve tweeked the name up and came up with Aria. Do you like Aria? Would it be silly if i give her a first name that starts with a M and have her middle name be Aria. But she would only go by Aria. So in the future, her name would look like "M. Aria Lastname" Any opinions, or suggestions on what I could do? Thank you so much!

I Love the name Aria it is my daughter’s name Aria Claire. I think it would be ok to have her name start with an M and the middle name be Aria.I think you would be honoring you mother.

I don’t like when kids end up being called by their middle names. It just causes a lot of confusion. If you’re going to use Aria then make it her fn. How about using a varient of Maria as her mn, then you’ll be honoring her in both names.

You could use Maria as a mn, or Marie. Or even Marina? Aria is very pretty!

I agree with poster 3, my mom has always gone by her mn and she hates it! It is confusing for school, forms to fill out, work, etc. I like the idea of using a variation of Marie as the mn. Aria Marie is really pretty.
