When I told my mother I was pregnant, the baby was about the size of a jellybean, so that’s what she calls him!

My youngest(2) calls my mom annie and my dad poppy and my oldest(5) calls my mom Nana and my dad Grampy. And both of my children call my husbands mom Na’an and they call his dad Papa and his step dad his Mookie ( don’t ask, i have no clue why..) and the nickname for the one coming soon is Lukie. His name will be Luka.

My Jewish cousins (I am too but they are moreso) call her parents [removed]ie (a nicknamey equivalent of Bubah, yiddish for Grandma) and Popsie and his parents Zeidi (Zay-dee, nn for Zeida (sp?), Yiddish for grandpa) and Grandma. ’Grandma’ jokes that she is the only one with a relatively sane name! I agree, I mean, poor boys growing up with a Popsie and a [removed]ie!!!

Nanna and Papa are what I have always called my parents to my children. They have Nanna Jean and Nanna Kathy and Papa Jack and Papa Jim

My parents get called Grammy and Gramps. My husband’s parents get called Nana and Grumps.

All of our kids are called Tootles before birth. This is an inside joke for our family, one that would take too long to explain, and even if I did, you all still might not get it. :)

I am having twin boys and we call the MJ and M’n’M. Hubby is Matthew, so MJ stands for Matthew Junior and M’n’M stands for mini Matt.
