Agree with 3rd poster completely!
But my son’s middle name is James, but that was in honor of my grandfather :) So I think there are times when typical "filler" names are used thoughtfully.

Marie, Grace, Lynn, Leigh/Lee, Rose, Renee, Elizabeth, Brooke, James, and Reese. There are so many people with these middle names....

I agree with the other posters and I’d add Hope and Faith. For boys, I’d say Michael!
