Alexston vs. Yes vs. No

So here is the story. My husband and I have LOVED the name Alexander for years but we kept having girls so just last year our close family friend had her son and named him Rhys Alexander, so we want an Alex but not an Alexander so I found the name Alexston on another site and I really like it. He would probably be called Alex or AJ most of the time, if I can find a "J" name to go with it. Thanks in advance for the input

I agree that Alexston is kind of a mouthful. Another name that you could use would be Alexandrian and call him Alex or AJ.

I agree that Alexavier seems like a better name than Alexston. But it’s up to you since this will be your son. MN suggestions:

I like Alexavier, it’s unique with a little traditional in it=) thats what I like about Alexston. Thanks so much for the mn ideas.

Alexston just sounds made up (so does Alexavier). I would go with just Alex.

if u love alexander name him that. because the other boy goes by his first name and you are going to call him alex anyway. That way he doesn’t have such a made up name

I agree with pp - if you like Alexander, just name him that and be done with it. No need to get creative just because someone you know used it as a mn already. I mean, it’s not like the other one is even your kid!!!
