Is it pronounced Nah-vay-ah? The 17 year old down the street pronounces her daughters Neigh-va

In some cases people pronounce it Nah vay ah..but most actually pronounce it Nah vay, where I live the people I know with this name only pronounce it Nah vay.

It’s awful! And ALWAYS when it’s featured on this site is it written ’Wdyt of Nevaeh?’ closely followed by ’it’s heaven backwards you know’ Well yes, we did know that... that’s what makes it so awful

I totally agree it’s tacky- the question was asked partly out of curiosity and partly because my neighbor down the street- a 30 year old, very mature and sensible woman- just named her first daughter Nevaeh Klaire, and I don’t wasn’t to embarrass myself by coming over with my baby gift and saying "Congratulations! How’s baby Ne-uh-ummm... how do you pronounce it again?" I’ll have to cringe behind closed doors.
