John David vs. Lachlan James

Our baby is due in less than 2 months. I think I have it narrowed down to these two names. Which do you like better and please comment as to why. Do you HATE either of them? Tell me the truth, I can take it. Be brutally honest. Or do you think one is as good as the other? What I like about John David is that my husband’s first name is David. Also, I like how versatile the name is. He could go by John, John David, Jack, JD, or JP. What I like about Lachlan James is that my dad’s name is James. And Lachlan is nickname proof (or at least I think, but please correct me if I’m wrong). My only concern w/ Lachlan is this trend of giving little girls names that are traditionally for BOYS. With the two "L"’s, and the singer Sarah McLachlan, I can see how Lachlan might have potential to become a so-called girl name. Or am I over-ANALizing? LOL, what DO YOU THINK? Thanks in advance.

Help! I love the name Guinevere, but I can't think of a really good brother and sister name for her. Since Guinevere is so empowering, I want the next names to be powerful as well. Thanks, Genie!
Baby Name Genie:
You seek the Holy Grail of names. Let me help you in your quest. The brother of fair Guinevere will fight on foot with swords aplenty, but on his horse he'll surely lance a lot. Name him Edward for a regal name. A sister could be dubbed Katherine if greatness is what you desire.
