Amelia "Ellie" Grace vs. Yes vs. No
I want to name my daughter after my grandmother, Amelia, but I don’t love the name. I love the nickname Elle or Elle and I’ve always loved the name Grace... would Elle or Ellie work as a nickname for Amelia, or is it too far of a stretch? Any advice would be great! Thank you!

She’s your baby. Call her Ellie if you want. The nickname doesn’t have to come from the name. Everyone calls my brother Memo and his name is Arturo. Ellie is cute and Amelia is beautiful.

why not give her the middle name Amelia? or Amelia Grace? i don’t think Elle or Ellie work as nns for Amelia, and both Amelia and Ellie are very common as given names. how about Elle Amelia or Elle Amelia Grace or Elle Grace as her full name?
