Nicknames vs. for vs. Connor

I became an aunt a few days ago, my new nephew is called Connor. Only problem is, my boyfriend is named Conor and I’d love a nickname for my little nephew (or boyfriend, doesn’t matter) to distinguish them - it’s just a little confusing! My sister really loved the name and it didn’t seem fair making her pick a name she didn’t like so much, and it isn’t causing a problem, it’ll just make it a little easier for us!

i looked on google and couldn’t really find any could you use a middle name for one of them?
