Baby Name Poll Results

I just arrived here, so I don’t know about the polls but there is a 3 poll limit per however long, so it could be multiple people if there are, in fact, 5 polls with the name Perrie.
I’ve had a problem before with my polls - I’ll list a name that I know isn’t that common on these parts and someone will come up a little while afterwards and have the same name. It makes me feel like people will assume we’re the same person and think my poll is fake, thus taking away any help I could have received.
I don’t understand the fake families thing, though. Most people on here are saying they have 4+ kids. I would imagine that if I were on my way to having my 5th kid, I wouldn’t really need a naming site like this one.

I love nameberry, thanks! But these are all different stories, with the name Perrie. I think there are two on this page alone. It just bothers me!

My husband and i have 5 daughters and have just found out we are expecting twins and guess what there’ll be no boys for us! Its twin daughters! We’re very happy. Daughters is all we know so we’re just looking forward to their arrival now! Anyway...all our daughters have ’masculine(ish)’ names..Rae (15), Dawson (13), Leigh (12), Charlie (8) and Frankie (5) and we were kinda thinking we won’t break the tradition. We like Billie and Perrie for our new daughters, WDYT? Will it be too much with our others having an ’ee’ sound on the end of their names too? Hope you can help

Hello, I’m Allie from the above poll, and I hadn’t seen any other polls with this name before. In fact, the name has suddenly become more popular in my area and I thought it was very cute - I am not part of these silly fake stories, and am quite insulted at this accusation. Clearly a coincidence, or maybe it’s just a nice name. Either way, please stop complaining and use this site for it’s true purpose - to help others, not cause trouble. Thankyou.

Suddenly becoming popular is one thing, six mentions of Perrie in one night? Overkill. Someone has a fake story. I already mentioned that I was trying to help others, and in fact I have.

I’d just like to point out that I sometimes get inspiration from other people. Someone could get the name Perrie from someone else’s poll and fall in love with it. Plus Perrie is just plain popular right now (I know three girls with this name). I doubt that any of these families are fake, don’t be so quick to judge.

Allie, most people on this site will find anything to complain about on polls. God forbid multiple people like the same name. I once got accused of being fake because another person the day before liked two of the same names I did. It’s ridiculous.

Poll poster, you’re wasting just as much space on these polls as the fake polls. If you don’t think a poll is real, skip over it. If the poll is obviously fake (i.e. "HIII, im jessika nd i got 22 kidz. im havn allgirl octuplets nd i need names 4 em."), than report it, and move on.

It seems a little off to me, too. Very often I’ll see a poll featuring a certain name that’s not exactly a name you hear everyday. All of a sudden there are multiple polls all featuring that same name. What I think sometimes happens is that the original poll was legitimate. And then pranksters come along, see that name, and create fake polls. But I also think sometimes other legitimate pollsters will see a name on someone else’s poll and become inspired by that and create their own poll. We all know there are a huge number of fake polls on here. Sometimes they stick out like a sore thumb. Other times they raise a red flag, but you’re not 100% sure. It’s not so much about judgemental as it is about being a little overly cautious about the fake polls. No one wants to waste their time on those. There are always a lot more fake polls when school is not in session...

It happens all the time. Sutton was showing up out of the blue all of the sudden a while ago.... I agree. It is annoying. I am with you on this one!
