Emma :ok vs. Emma: too many

I`m expecting a baby girl in April and I want to name her Emma. However my husband doesn`t agree as he says there is too much of Emma and that our little girl might have issues with her name being too popular. I disagree, but i`m not 100% sure. Do you think naming her with such a popular name be a wrong thing? If You agree with him, What what would be a good name to call her that would be in the same sound category, or just a plain out other name. Thanks to everyone. This is making me very nervous!

Emmaline is cute, and you can call her Emma if you want. I see no problem just naming her Emma, though.

Emma is a very cute name but it is pretty popular these days. I’m not a big fan of popular names.

Try:
Edith, Ellen, Elsie, if you like E names.

I really like the name Emma but it is really popular. My name is Jessica which was at it’s most popular when i was born. I like my name but i do feel it’s really common now. There are over 300 people at my work and just on my team alone there are 3 jessica’s and i also had 3 other jessica’s around my age during school. I think it would be nice to have a name not so popular.

Also, Emily is a top name too, which sounds similar, Emma is a little too pop for me... How about Emelia, Anna or Amelie?
