Rosetta vs. ?
I have studied Egyptology and I’ve been looking for a name for my little girl that has something to do with ancient Egypt to honour my interest (and hopefully career one day). If she had been a boy she would have been called Carter (after Howard Carter). Does Rosetta work as a girl’s name in England? I just saw it on a poll further down and love it. It would be after the Rosetta stone and I can’t believe I didn’t think of it before. We would probably call her Rose or Rosie. Any more suggestions? Thank you :)

I think Rosetta is lovely and Rose and Rosie are cute nicknames
Sure Rosetta could be nice. If you dont mind that People will relate it to the language learning. Why not use an egyptian name or middle name?

Thank you. I have looked through quite a few Egyptian names and I have actually already considered Mandisa which I think is beautiful but I’m worried she might get called Mandy which I’m not so keen on. I also really like Zahra.
