I’ve known two people with this name. Both of them were boys. One spelt it Sloane and the other Sloan. It’s all male to me.

I think Sloane with an e on the end looks more feminine and that’s the way it was spelled in Ferris Bueller’d Day Off. Sloan without the e is usually considered a boy’s name.

I agree that Sloane is feminine and Sloan is masculine. It’s a nice name, though I prefer it as a middle name. Good luck.

All I can think of is Ferris Beuller’s girlfriend Sloan Peterson. I think that was her last name. Anyway, I think of it is as feminine because of that character.
