Jackson vs. Yes vs. No

My husband’s name is Jack and we like the name Jackson. Jackson means "son of Jack" and it would have great meaning to our son. But, we want our son to feel important...would him having the name Jackson make him feel like he doesn’t have his own name? Thanks! Lissa & Jack

Jackson is so popular anyways he will know tons of boys name Jack, Jackson, Jaxon anyways at school....why should home be any different? haha I think its kind of cute to name him that. Atleast when you do it the name will make sense...since he will truly be the "son of Jack".

Jackson would be a nice name! It would be nice to have a part of his father’s name in there (I’ve always wished I’d been named after someone) but it’s still unique enough that he’d be set apart.

My brother was named after my father and both of my grandfather, and growing up I always felt a little left out that I wasn’t named after anyone. I think that it a great way to honor your husband and I think your son will really appreciate it.

I think that’s great! It’s a significant meaning and that makes it special. You could choose a unique middle name like Jackson Davin!
