Baby Name Poll Results

I am one of 3 girls - all our names start with K. Other than that none of our names sound alike. Yet my mom was forever confusing us and morphing our names together in um, interesting ways. Two L names, esp. short ones like "Lucy" and "Lily" would get very confusing for a frazzled mommy

Not too close Lily and Lucy 2 different sounding names but then again the prev poller with the K name would know better

Lucy and Lilly are not to close.. any mom no matter the names gets them confused sometimes.. I have a Kaelyn and Megan and have called the worng one a time or two.. My boys are Brandon MAtthew And Zach and I have called them the wrong name too.. you are thinking of one thing for one kid and trying to get another one to do something it is very common to call them by a wrong name once in awhile..

My mom did and our names were totally not alike.. We were often called. CarTam SherDaJennifer Get over here.. or some form of that.. if she said YOU! were usually knew who she wanted.

So Lucy and Lily would be no different.. it isnt like Lilly and Jilly where the rhyming can screw up the tongue.

I call my kids the dog’s name and vice versa sometimes...it happens!!! I think they’re fine and not too close at all. GL!

I don’t think they are too close at all! I will tell you from experience that no matter what your kids names are you will mix them up when you are frazzled. My daughters NN is Allie, my son’s nn’s Xander, and the dog’s name is Shadow. They are nothing close and I still call them by the wrong name.

Lucy and Lily are totally different. People would not confuse them. In fact, I think they go really well together.

Yes, I think they’re too close, but you have to go with your gut. If it feels good to you, that’s what matters. I think these polls are great, but don’t let them influence you too much, it will drive you crazy!
