Surnames that vs. are used as vs. baby names

My husband and I like using surnames as fns for our children. What surnames out there can you think of that could be used as fns? Please don’t post that you don’t like using surnames as first names. I’m well aware that there are people like you out there; my father is one of them! :)

A lot of popular names are also surnames, such as Madison, Taylor and Jackson, it’s just they have become so common that no one thinks about it (in defense of your choice)

For boys, I like Jameson, Sullivan and Weston. For girls, Piper, Harper and Emerson.

Good luck!

Just saw the pp ? about Dempsey. I’m not really partial to it. I was just curious about which gender it would fit best.

I like it fine when the surnames are actually from the family. Are there any good ones in your family tree?
posted by guest :: 16 years ago | report
Unfortunately, no there aren’t. There aren’t ANY good names in our family! Ugh!
