Catalina nn Lina vs. Lena vs. Lina

I really think Catalina is cute with nn Lina. My husband says why not just plain Lina. AND how would you guys spell it- Lina or Lena???

Lena wouldn’t be mispelled as often as Leena, I don’t think.

Personally, I love long names so I’d go with Catalina.
I would pronounce Lina like LEE-na, whereas I would’ve pronounced Lena like LEN-na.

I think you’d be better giving her a longer name, Catalina, and just using Lina (this sp.) as a nickname.

Lina/Lena is a nickname.

Normally, I would prefer Lena, but if you go with Catalina, it should be Lina.

Catalina is a beautiful names that is VERY underused! Go with Catalina and nickname her Lina. I think that Lena will be misspronounced as lay nuh and Leena looks illiterate. Catalina Rain or Catalina Mae would be gorgeous.
