Astrid Johanna vs. Elsa Nathalie
We’ve decided to cross Liv Rebecka out of the list, because it’s the nickname of so many Olivias. So now it’s between these two, older brother is Anders Jakob if it helps. Thanks.

I didn’t know Astrid was a real name. The only time I have ever heard it was on the movie White Oleander.

I absolutely love both names! I would choose Elsa, though, because Astrid and Anders are too close. I would choose Astrid if you use the traditional pr. of the name (AWS-tree) which is so pretty.

Another thought I had - if you like the Scandinavian names then maybe you would like Ingrid (traditional pr. is IN-gree) otherwise pr. Ing-grid.

Astrid is a beautiful name. I like it pr: AH strid which is the traditional pronunciation. Check out Babynamesworld.com it shows you proper pronunciation and origin info.
I don’t think it’s too close to Anders, other than both start with letter ’A’. They don’t even rhyme. There’s nothing wrong with this sib set, IMO.

I also really like Astrid’s meaning: God + fair, beautiful
It’s a compound name, from the elements ’as’, which relates to the Aesir [a group of gods formed around Odin] and ’trud’, ’fair’ or ’beautiful’. It was the name of one of the Valkyries
