Hi We kinda like the name Jordan Roy. Roy is after my husbands grandfather. He is still with us and we would like to honor him. But we also want to make sure the name sounds good and isnt to choppy or strange or just unlikable.

I don’t think it sounds good right now, but that could all change with the addition of your last name.
It really depends on the full thing.

I think it is awesome to use a family name. They just don’t flow well together with the R’s in both names. Does the grandfather have a middle name that may work?

Jordan Royce might be an option. It softens the "double r" sound.

Roy actually is gpa’s middle name.
Virgil Roy is his name. He didnt like Virgil and has always gone by Roy.

If you want Roy as a mn, then maybe a different fn. Jacob Roy, Jonathan Royce, Alexander Roy.
