that would be a BIG no for me...too "old" I see a grandma or great grandma having a name like Pearl but of course your call, why not use as middle name??

Pearlene
I actually took care of a little girl named Pearlyn.. she was adorable and they called her Pearly or Pearl for a nickname.

Pearl is a nice name. Classic and underused as a first name.
Pearline is a longer form and I believe I have heard Pearlin/Pearlyn too.

I love the name Pearl. Perla is the only one I can think of that hasn’t been mentions. I mostly use it as a middle name in my combos, but it would be a lovely first name.

I personally think that Pearl sounds best with a long femine middle name, but it depends on what is sounds like with your surname.

I think Pearl is lovely, but the middle name has to be just right... I love the suggestions of Pearl Anastasia and Pearl Victoria.
