Sariah vs. Sonnet

We’ve narrowed down the choices. Fourth daughter and we’re sticking with the S theme. Middle name suggestions would be very helpful but we are going with either of these first names. Thank you! -Sandi and Samuel

Sonnet Marilyn is a great name.

Sariah is not a made up name. It means princess and is in the scriptures of my faith.

Sistine is pretty, I’ve never heard that as a name.

Sarah sounds too bland compared with my other daughter’s names (no offense...we just wanted something a little different).

Middle name suggestions for Sistine?

Sistine Stevens is a real tongue twister. I would steer away from that.

Sonnet Marilyn and Sonnet Isabelle
Sariah Opal and Sariah Abigail

I’m not trying to give you a hard time about Sariah, it is pretty and I thinks it’s cool that it has meaning. My husband and I love a name for our baby that is an ancestor’s name but a lot of people said it sounds like one of those trendy made-up names that are so popular right now, so we’re rethinking it. I just wanted to put the thought out there for you, based on my impression, so you could have as much info and as many opinions as possible to help you make your choice.

Sonnet Moriah would be cute.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to get so offensive. I’ve seen poll after poll of people attacking name choices so I may have jumped the gun. I do appreciate your input, though. In fact, we have decided to go with Sonnet.

Sonnet Amelia Stevens
Sonnet Elise Stevens
Sonnet Isabelle Stevens
Sonnet Marilyn Stevens

What do you all think about those options?

Sailor Lydia
Sasha Melody
Serenity Tegan
Sonnet Elise

I think that sounds the most cohesive.
posted by guest :: 16 years ago | report
I agree with Sonnet Elise sounding cohesive BUT Sonnet Isabelle and Sonnet Marilyn are really pretty choices.

I think the initials SAS are super cute

I’d go for Sonnet Amelia Stevens

It’s fine, I totally understand, a lot of these polls have some really rude comments! I think Sonnet is really neat. I like Sonnet Isabelle or Sonnet Amelia/Emilia. Good luck!

Thank you!

Sonnet Isabelle or Sonnet Elise? Those are our top two picks.

Have you ever thought of the name Sarina? I think that would be a beautiful name it dosent sound so mad up like Sariah.
Sarina Sarina Sarina Sarina Uh-Dorable.

Again, Sariah isn’t made up but I understand how one might think it sounds that way. We think Sarina is a pretty name but is too close to Serenity, our three year old daughter. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Sonnet Isabelle or Sonnet Elise? Which do you prefer?
posted by Sandi :: 16 years ago | report
Sonnet Elise for sure.
