What vs. do you think?

My husband and I are both huge liturature and movie geeks and we love the Hunger Games series. Our daughter is due in a few weeks and we were wondering if it would be acceptable to name her Katniss. Maybe you should pick Katniss as a middle name instead

Hmm hard to say. Katniss might sound a little strange so I think it would be better as her middle name. Another option is to find another name from the series that you like. How about...

I think probably in the middle spot to avoid a too obvious reference!
Otherwise perhaps use a similar name eg Katia, or another name from the books eg Rue

I love the Hunger Games, but I’m not a big fan of Katniss. As a name it’s not that pretty. As a character she’s obviously the main one, but she’s a little annoying the second and third books I feel.
Finally, it’s not that original, if you’re true fans, pick a less obvious name!

Maisy/Maisie after Maysilee.

Oh, sorry! It’s probably a deep love for the name Poppy!

Posy is also cute.
Also Delly? Or Madge? Not sure I really like either name, but they’re HG.

Im a huge fan also but I wouldnt name my baby Katniss. I do like Johanna or Annie for a hg theme name.
