Finley Collin vs. Finbar Collin

We have decided (hopefully for sure this time) that we want to name our child one of these two names. My husband likes Finbar bc it is very irish and he is from ireland and i dont mind it bc i am also very irish. But i think Finley is better but my husband thinks it sounds to "woosey" (yes a direct quote). He would be called Fin which i think flows very well with our other children Neve,Liam,Aiden,Seamus, and Amen (ages 2-10)

I personally don’t care for Finbar, it sounds lik a compound word. Finley, is very nice however and sounds great with Collin.

Finley is being used frequently for girls. If that concerns you I’d go with Finbar since you will be calling him Fin anyway. I think Fin is very cute!

How about Griffin and call him Fin?

What about just Finn? Or Finnegan? Griffin is a good suggestion, too.

The name "Finn" with no "ley" or "bar" at the end sounds strong, confident and unique.
