I absolutely love Victoria - it’s by far the best! Beautiful and majestic! Will age wonderfully. I think it also has great nn possibilities that the others don’t really have.
1. Victoria (nn Tori)
2. Vanessa
3. Veronica
4. Valerie (I don’t like Valerine, so if you use Valerine, I would make this my 6th choice).
5. Violet - Cute, spunky, but I don’t think it will age well.
6. Vivian- old fashioned by very classy
7. Vera - I really, really disklike this name. It sounds old and boring.

I really don’t like the nickname Vicky (but I really like Tori)...is Victoria going to end up Vicky no matter how hard I try to fight it?

Vivian or Vivianne are by far my favorite...it sounds so classic and pretty. It’s not as common as Victoria (which is also very pretty...but...again common). Valerie is a little old school (not in a good way)

Vivian - it’s lively, gorgeous, ages well (nn Vi, Vivvy, Annie)
Vanessa - I just like it (nn Van, Vana, Nessa)
Violet - nice sound; I disagree wtih pp who said it wouldn’t age well - I see it more as an "old-fashioned" name and can see it on a young child or old woman (nn Vi, Lettie)
Valerie (nn Val)
Victoria - I think it’s a little fussy (nn Tori and yes you can make that nn stick)
Veronica - it’s popular where I live (nn Vera, Ronni, Rondi* my favorite b/c she was my college roomate)
Vera - it’s not very pretty, and I never know how to pronounce it. VAIR-AH? or VEER-ah? or VYER-ah? also, no nn unless possibly just "V"
