Leila vs. Heidi vs. Madeleine

Hey guys, Rebecca again. I just thought I’d say that my husband and I have narrowed it down to Leila (or Lila), Heidi and Madeleine. He’s coming round to Heidi after meeting a woman named Heidi the other day. He’s not 100% though. Need middle names to go with these. Possibly Leila Madeleine, Heidi Madeleine, don’t know what goes with f/n Madeleine. I also quite like Islie, from a poll above my previous one. We think we’ll go for Sean James for a baby boy. Heidi Madeline Collins is a darling name and gets my vote. Leila is getting popular and I know a woman with this name who is always frustrated b/c people pronounce it wrong. She prefers "Lee-la" but people are forever calling her "Lie-la" or "Lay-la" and she’s continually correcting . . .it gets on MY nerves, and my name’s not even Leila!

Thanks for that piece of information, it made me chuckle. Heidi Madeleine is my personal favourite, but hubby is still not certain. Islie is so pretty though, I’m tempted by that.

I think that Islie is too nickname-y sounding. Unfortunately I can’t come up with a full name for it unless you name her something and just combine letters to form it.

Heidi is gorgeous! Leila looks made-up and too cutesy and Madeleine is SO overused. So many little girls have this name, it’s really annoying. Heidi is so elegant and underused. I love it. GL =)

I like Heidi. Heidi Madeleine is the obvious choice in my opinion as we both like Madeleine. And Heidi Nicolette/ Heidi Juliet are darling name combos. Thank you so much!

I do like the name Leila a lot but since it seems like your going more for Heidi I’ll give you some middle names.
