Ryann vs. Rowan
Hello! My husband and I want to honor his parents for everything they’ve done for us by naming our daughter after them. Their names are Ron and Anne. Using the letters in their names we came up with Ryann and Rowan. Which do you think is better for our little girl?
Thanks-Mitch and Jocelyn

Ryann is so masculine, even with 2 n’s. What about Rayanne?

Ryan is a boy’s name that means "little King." Changing the spelling doesn’t change that. Ryan is a very popular boy’s name too, so she’ll constantly be mistaken for a boy.
I prefer Rowan, though that is rather masculine too. It’s more evenly split though, and has more of a history as a girl’s name. I also think it incorporates Ron and Anne better than Ryann.
How about Rhiannon? It has the beginning and ending of Ron with Anne in the middle, and it’s a pretty and underused girl’s name. Rosanne would also work nicely.

I like Liz’s ideas of Rhiannon (or Rhiann) and Rosanne. If you’re set on those two names, then Rowan gets my vote - Ryann is too masculine.
I like the name Rowan , its nicer than Ryann , Ryann sound like a boys name..

Ryann is very masculine.
How about Rhiann(e)? Roanna? Rosanne/a? Rhianna? Rhiannon?
All those suggestions would be better and much more feminine. GL!

What about Roxanne? not Roxanna, but just Roxanne? It has more letters of both their names and is completley feminine.

I don’t like the Roseanne or Raxanne options but i think Rhiannon is georgeous. I voted Rowan. Either Rhiannon or Rowan. I don’t find Rowan masucline at all.

Ryanne is the BEST. Hands down. Just like Taylor, Logan, Blake, Cameron and so many more-Ryanne is an up and coming unisex name. The spelling on this one is what sets them apart. I do like an "E" on the end though. Classic, trendy, and sentimental all at the same time. KUDOS!
