Elimination vs. Poll

Hello! I’m Audrey and my husband is Juan, and I am expecting! We don’t know the gender, but we already know what we will name him if he’s a boy (Luke). So we have our 50 top girl names (some are sort of eccentric) and the rules of the elimination poll are: you have to eliminate at least one name and you can bring back one name for every two names you eliminate. I’ll try to post revised versions of the list every two or three posts. We don’t want to even think about middle names yet, we just want to get the first named picked, and so once we decide the first name, then we’ll probably make a poll for middle names. Siblings are Drew (5) and Emmett (2). (Oh and one other thing, I know a lot of you will think that the eccentric girl names won’t go well with Drew and Emmett’s normalish boy names, but please don’t eliminate a name on the grounds that it doesn’t fit with the other two.)

Genie's Mailbag

Dear Genie, I need you to help me find a Greek name for a girl. I've already used Theodore and Sebastian for her siblings. But every other Greek girl's name I see is either too pretentious, hard to pronounce, or just too popular now. The only name I can picture using is Caroline, but it's not Greek!
Baby Name Genie:
The Greeks would name her Charissa Zoe. Then, they would stuff her in a wooden horse and give her to the Trojans. So, my advice would be to borrow the name but not the rest of their tactics.
