Is vs. It vs. Cheesy

Is it cheesy if you name your child after an actress/actor or character on a tv show? I love the tv show, I Love Lucy and love Lucille Ball. I also love the name Ellie from The Beverly Hillbillies, Alice from The Brady Bunch and Andy from The Andy Griffith Show. Would it be too cheesy to name your children after characters/love tv shows? Please suggest other classic tv shows and names of characters!

I like the name Dezi Lu after Lucille Balls company and I like Audrey Katherine after both Hepburns. I love Marcia, Jeannie and Samantha too.

I don’t think its chessey at all. I am picking my childs name from the characters on Grey’s Anatomy. Another classic tv show I enjoyed as a child was The Facts of Life. Some of their characters are:

I don’t think it’s cheesey at all. What’s the difference hearing a nice name on TV or reading it in a babyname book? It’s all about finding a name you love regardless of the media used to find it.

Ruby, Rose, Ruth, Blanche

What was that show bout 2 women working like in a factory or something?

Thelma & louise <- movie i know but a classic

Its not cheesy. I named my oldest daughter Sarah Mackenzie after a character from JAG and I am really liking Ziva Abigail after characters on NCIS.

Depends - Andy Griffith would be bad as a fist and middle but Griffith as a middle is cool
Lucy/Lucille Alison is nice
Andrew/Andy James is cute
