My daughter’s name is Callie. I chose this spelling because I fell in love with it as a teen--probably because it’s similar to my name, Christie. However as I started learning more about names I found out that Cali- is a Greek prefix meaning beautiful, while Kali is the name of the Hindu Goddess of destruction who wears a necklace of skulls... kinda cemented my idea of the best spelling.
