I dont like it. Sledge is horrible, Reese is starting to get more feminine than masculine
Not a fan.
Sledge sounds like sledge hammer. Like a super villain.
Out of curiosity, how did you come up with that? It’s not my cup of tea.
My hubby got it from a movie, it was the name of his favourite character in it. The character had integrity, was dependable and trustworthy, all qualities you want in your son.
I should mention our other kids names are: Chance Ares, Castiel Porter, and Layliana Raine.
Sledge is horrible, please don’t name your kid that, what about:
Its a no go! Sounds too close to Sludge
Other options were Trystum, Remington, Holder.
I can understand that. I draw a lot of my inspiration from characters I like too. Here are some people that caught my eye. Maybe you’ll like one of them too:
Charles - From Charles Whittlesey. He was an actual guy, and was a lawyer before being drafted into world war 1. He became a general, and led what was known as "The Lost Battallion." The Battallion was trapped behind enemy lines and after days of fighting, won against all odds, much thanks to their general, who lives up to the "others have greatness thrust upon them," saying. There is a TV movie about it.
Raoul- From Raoul Wallenberg. He was a Swedish man who saved over 100,000 Jews during World War 2. He would face Nazis face to face, sometimes impersonating a Nazi general and yelling orders to release the Jews on death marches. He thrived on bravery, wit, and selflessness.
Luke/Han- From Star Wars. Brave, fighting for good.
Rick/Richard- From Casablanca. He gives up the love of his life because he knows she’ll be happier with someone else.
Thomas- From T.E. Lawrence. A kind of mysterious guy, the movie made off of him was Lawrence of Arabia. When he decided what he believed was right, he went ahead and did it, no matter how crazy the odds were. He also made an effort to understand the people he was working with, even though they were of a different culture.
David- From Davy Crockett. He had a strong sense of loyalty and humbleness. He fought in the Alamo.
If you don’t like any of these, I understand. Good luck, and congratulations!
Out of your options, I think Holder sounds nice. It’s got a strong sound to it.
