Giles reminds me of the character from the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I like it, it has a certain charm to it. However, I would not use the nickname Gigi, it sounds too feminine, I don’t think the name Giles really needs a nickname at all.

Giles is fine. Gigi seems girly to me. Maybe just Gi?

I love it! Personally, I wouldn’t use a nickname for Giles, but that’s just me. I think it sounds sophisticated and cute.
