A lot of people suggest Ian, but I don’t really like the sound of it alone. I really want something that ends in a vowel sound: Wy, Basha. What about Wiley? Is it too far off?

I love Ian because my cousin is named Ian and you don’t hear it very often. Wiley would be ok, I guess. Not too far off, but a bit of a stretch. GL!

i would wait until he’s born, and then the perfect nickname will come. if you plan out your nickname before hand then there is no point in his full name.

yes, we’ll call him Basha as a baby/young boy. it fits well with my husband’s culture where the nickname often has no ties at all to the name and i think it sounds sweet.
