Bailey vs. Bailee vs. ?

I was told that the spelling Bailee is "trashy" can someone explain to me how its trashy? Just really curious, spelling is not an issue, we will go with Bailey if everyone does say the same, we just wanted it to be a different spelling. Thanks you.

I agree that Bailee is trashy. It looks like its misspelled and I think that the "lee" theme is popular with a lot of trashy people. I do have a friend named Bayleigh which I think is different but doesn’t look misspelled.

I don’t think the name itseld is very classy. It’s an occupational name meaning "Bailiff". The name also reminds me of the Old Bailey, which if you didn’t already know is the Central Criminal Court of England and Wales.
Then there’s also the alcoholic beverage...

I think your spelling is fine. Trashy would be naming your child something like Diamond Mist or something. Changing a spelling doesn’t make the name look trashy. There are VERY opinionated people on this site who like to hide behind their "guest" name. I am certain you will not have the only Bailee ever and I am also certain that her name being spelled differently will not make her trashy. Good luck!

I actually prefer the spelling Bailee to Bailey. I have a friend named this and her name is spelled Baylea, I think that spelling is very pretty and unique! Just another option if you let the anonymous trashy talkers get to you!

Bailee’s not necessarily trashy, I just prefer Bailey (spelled like that)

Posters 1 & 2 said exactly what I would say. Bailey itself is trashy, spelling it wrong is even worse. Maybe spelling it wrong does not bother you but it makes her look illiterate and will hold her back professionally.
