Christa/ Christie vs. Question

I really like the name Christa/Christie (not totally sure which one yet.) Problem is this: My MIL is Crystal, nn Crissy. I honestly don’t really like the lady at all, we aren’t close, so if I use one of these names, I’m afraid she will think I named my daughter after her. Which is not the case. What should I do? Thx!

Even if she thinks that you named your child after her, I don’t think it’d be a big deal.

I think they’re both pretty names. My favorite would be Christa because Christie seems more like a nickname.

I wouldn’t do it. The name maybe reminds you of your MIL all the time.

I would choose something similar, like:

Cassie
Carrie
Camille
Charlie
Cara
Carla
Caia/Kaia
Cleo
