Wyatt Avery vs. something else

I love the name Wyatt and I’ve had this name picked out for months. It’s the only name I could find that I liked, but I just started to think about how it sounds with his last name (Rodriguez) and if it would be weird to name a half puerto rican/half white baby Wyatt... especially if he comes out kinda dark, like his dad. Does Wyatt Rodriguez sound weird to you? And do you think it would be weird to name him something so "white" if he ends up being dark? He’s due in a week! Comment your opinions, please. Suggestions welcome, too. But nothing too Spanish. Thanks

Genie's Mailbag

Emma in Western Australia
We have a boy named Tyler James and a girl named Gypsie Jade. Expecting our 3rd, which is a boy. I'm in love with the name Olly, but my partner thinks Gypsie and Olly are unique names and Tyler is not, so it won't feel right. So he wants an ordinary name. Please help with something unique but ordinary.
Baby Name Genie:
In the space between unique and ordinary is a special category of names I think of as "antiques." They are familiar and well-used names that are not widely in use these days. For your son, I give you Oscar Jude - a perfectly ordinary, unique name.
