Lyra vs. Sonnet vs. Viola

We’re looking for a musical name for our baby but hopefully something quite subtle. Her middle name will either be Alexandra, Bethany or Catherine (all are family names). If it’s a boy we’ve chosen Fifer Alexander. Thanks so much for voting.

Viola Catherine is an excellent choice.

Have you considered Zimri for a boy? it means ’my music’ and was the name of an ancient king

Thanks everyone. We hadn’t considered Zimri actually so thanks for the suggestion, we might look into it a bit more.

One thing I just noticed and concerns me a little is that Lyra and Fifer may be a bit too similar if we have a boy but a girl in the future or vice versa. Do you think that matters at this stage?
