I actually like it a lot. I would pair it with a girly middle name though. like Carter Rose or Carter Elizabeth.

Honestly I think it’s terrible. There are so many pretty feminine names out there... or even pretty unisex names. There’s no reason on earth to give your beautiful daughter a boy’s name. It’s just giving her an extra hassle in life that’s not necessary.

And giving it a girly middle name doesn’t really help... hardly anyone hears the middle name anyway.

thank you for your suggestions, I love Carter Elizabeth, and I like the idea of using carter as a middle name but it wouldn’t sound good with my last name(thanks anyways).

Don’t like it for a girl, sorry.

I love it! I also love it with a classic middle name (Elizabeth, Marie, Rose, etc)

I really don’t like it for a girl. I think it’s too masculine. I don’t feel like it’s even a unisex name. GL

As a first name, NO. As a middle name, maybe.

No... leave boys names to boys and pick a girls name for your daughter.

I love it for a girl. If my husband didn’t already have a Carly I would use it. Maybe:
Carter Grace
Carter Anne
Carter Paige
Carter Vanessa
Carter Melody
Do you like any of those?

Its dreadful, not remotely unisex.

I’m not a fan. For those of us having boys, this just makes naming them more difficult. How are we supposed to know what’s unisex when it keeps changing all the time?

Just name her a girl name or a name that’s already unisex.

thanks for your honesty, I like Carter Grace and Carter Melody. and thanks poster #10(I think) you gave me an idea if she doesn’t like Carter she can use Carly as a nickname.

I don’t care for it for a girl

If I were to be perfectly blunt and honest, I’d say that I hate it on a girl. I’m sorry, but Carter isn’t unisex. It’s a boy’s name and sticking it on a girl wouldn’t change that. I’m not trying to be unpleasant, that’s just how I honestly feel.

She is frustrated because she is having a girl!!!.that is why she wants to use Carter any way, and no matter what. She doesn’t care if she is having a girl or boy, she wants to use it no matter what!!.the same thing happened to 2 years a go with the name Cameron!!!.Thank God I change my mind, for the sake of my baby, and named her Isabelle Marie!.wat a difference!!.

I love it. I have a good friend who has a 7 year old daughter named Carter, she loves her name. We’ve been discussing baby names a lot at their house lately, and Carter has actually tried to convince me to name my baby girl "Carter" too, because she says she loves it so much and wants a baby Carter! Haha.

Is the same thing as Naming A baby boy Rosemary, or Mary Jane, Isabella!!!.Please don’t do that to your precious baby girl!!!.and give her a feminine name !!.She will love you for that!! Save Carter for your next baby!!. I hope you get a boy next time .so you can use Carter ,that way, will be perfect!!.good luck and God bless you!!.

I like it for a boy but definitely not for a girl. It’s a boys’ name.
