Stella vs. Opinions??

I’m loving the name Stella/Estelle/Estella and Stella sounds the best with our last name but I’m concerned about using it for a few reasons: firstly my husband insists on yelling Stttteeeelllllaaaaaa dramatically every time he meets/ watches/hears of a Stella. Secondly my daughters all time favourite film is Disneys the princess and the frog- the dog in the films name is Stella. Finally I’m worried that the poor girl would never get away from the street car named desire connection that my husband so loves What do you think? Should I use Estelle/Estella instead? Or go with my guy and use Stella and hope that a street car named desires connection fades? BTW my husband says he likes all options

Genie's Mailbag

Emma in Western Australia
We have a boy named Tyler James and a girl named Gypsie Jade. Expecting our 3rd, which is a boy. I'm in love with the name Olly, but my partner thinks Gypsie and Olly are unique names and Tyler is not, so it won't feel right. So he wants an ordinary name. Please help with something unique but ordinary.
Baby Name Genie:
In the space between unique and ordinary is a special category of names I think of as "antiques." They are familiar and well-used names that are not widely in use these days. For your son, I give you Oscar Jude - a perfectly ordinary, unique name.
