Amelia Joy nn Mia and Owen Charles vs. Elizabeth Joy and Owen Charles
Which sibset is best for b/g twins? Owen Charles is definite and so is Joy. We just need to decide between Elizabeth and Amelia. I don’t care how popular Elizabeth is...it is my daughter’s pick for a name, so we are leaning towards that. Amelia would most likely have Mia as a nickname. Would Lia work as a nn for Elizabeth, or is it too far of a stretch? I don’t care for Liz, Lizzie, Beth, or Liza for the nn. Thanks...hopefully this will be the final poll!

I’m the one who voted for Amelia earlier and said you could do a lot of nn’s for her. I like the nn Mia, very pretty. It’s nice that your daughter wants to help name the baby, but if I had my way when my sister was born (i was 5) she would have been called strawberry shortcake. Both are really nice names... I guess you should just go with your gut feeling. Again...Amelia is very nice!
Also, Lia as a nn for Elizabeth is fine. Remember parents kind of start the nn’s so if you start it as Lia, no one will call her beth or liz, etc....remember, Gut feeling. good luck and congratulations on the 2 new additions to your family!!
Thanks erbear30! I was leaning towards Amelia earlier, but my daughter, who has been an only child for almost 12 years, likes Elizabeth, and I really want her to be involved. We think we are going to go with Elizabeth and call her Lia for short. I just saw something on the net that I wanted to have monogrammed for the babies, and I immediately thought of Elizabeth, so I guess my gut is telling me which way to go. Thanks, again!

Lia is such a creative nickname for Elizabeth! That’s my sister’s name and she got stuck with the middle name Germaine...

Great name choices. Joy is one of my very favorite middle names (I used it for my daughter too) Ellie would be another cute nn. Ellie and Owen are great together! gl
