I picture the Nahla from Lion King, which translates to someone beautiful and strong.

Simba’s girl was Nala, not Nahla (although pronunciation-wise, there’s no difference).

I kind of agree with the second poster, as stereotypical as it is. Nahla, especially with the h, makes me think of an tall Indian girl with long hair, standing tall, and for some reason wearing green. So in general, very pretty!

Nothing wrong with it. Names will always remind people of something, good or bad. As long as YOUR memories are good, go with it.
