What are your thoughts vs. About Emerson? vs. For a girl?

I had just recently come across this name for a girl and I kind of like it. Kinda catchy. What do you think? What would you choose for the middle name? I am assuming something girly for middle name. Thanks, Kaytee

Emerson literally means, "Emery’s son."
Not the best choice for a girl...

It’s very trendy, boyish, and I don’t like it. Plenty of people do, or it wouldn’t be so trendy... I prefer classic or feminine names.

I consider it a girl name now because I see it being used on girls more than boys. But I think it should have stayed a boy’s name or a surname.

I’m positive you can find something infinitely better.

I find it very masculine on a girl. Even though it has "Em" in it its still a boys name. I honestly don’t get why anyone would name their daughter anything that ends in "son"

I think Emerson is a great name, boy or girl.

Hate it for a girl, sorry

I think it’s tacky on a girl. I once knew a little girl named Emerson and went by Emory. Don’t know why her parents didn’t just name her Emory.

Don’t like it for a girl at all. It is all boys. Trendy for a girl right now but will be out of date in a few years.

I don’t like it as a girl name. That could be because it’s on my boy list, though. It just seems so masculine that I can’t see the appeal of giving it to a little girl.
