Cora! Sloane is not pretty to me and reminds me of "Slow" (and not in a good way) and Emery isn’t a girl name

Love Sloane! Next would be Cora. Not a fan of Emery.

For the people saying Emery is a boys name, I know more girls with that name than boys. I think it just depends on the area you live in. Also the spelling is usually Emerie or Emrie.

Anyway, Emery gets my vote, it is the prettiest.

Emery sounds like a male name to me, sorry.
Sloane is vintage and unheard of these days, in my book that is a plus. Its nice to see some new names on here. Cora is okay, prefer Coral, Coraline, and Qora. GL

Thanks for the comments. We\’ve thought of the spelling Emory as well. We like unique....but not unheard of. We have two boys named Cash and Holden as well.

Hate unisex names so Emery is out for me. Cora is pretty but somewhat popular, love the connection to the sea though. Agree with above poster I myself prefer Coral or Coralie. Sloane is definitely a rare jewel as I say, at first I agreed with the first poster but as I said it out loud a couple times, it grew on me. Its strong and pretty like Joan. Cora or Sloane is perfect for you imo.

If you used Emery/Emory I would assume you have three boys...Cash, Holden, and Emery/Emory sound like brothers. Normally I’d go with Cora but in this case, I think Sloane fits better.

PP, just because you know more girls than boys named Emery doesn’t make it a girl name. I know 2 girls named Bradleigh and Stieven (yes, spelled that way) and no boys named either of those but that doesn’t make them girl names.

Agree with poster #8 completely, couldn’t have said it better.

According to the Social Security website. Emery is more common for a girl and the most common spelling is ’Emery’ http://www.ssa.gov/cgi-bin/popularnames.cgi
