I’ve decided to use one of these two names, but want to know what gender you associate the name. When you hear Avery do you think boy or girl? When you hear Morgan do you think boy or girl.
The Top Baby Name is...
Both really could be either.
But at a push - Avery = Boy and Morgan = Girl.

I hear all boy with Avery, and I hear boy OR girl with Morgan. Good luck! :-)
Both girl names to me!
Avery = girl
Morgan = boy or girl
Both of them leave us asking ’what sex ?’ so I think neither are good choices when you have to ask. Life can be hard enough for kids without them having that problem.
I hear Avery as a girl because of the flowing and feminine sound. The "y" ending is very feministic to me. My thought train goes from Avery, to aviation, to birds, to the sky... nature being feminine.
Morgan reminds me of a boy. Morgan sounds strong, stern, and stable, and has roots back to being a male Scandinavian name.
Both are boys names although Avery always sounds like aviary to me so not a name at all, and Morgan is a traditional surname
Both girl to me.
Morgan is a boy’s name and Avery - who knows?
Morgan girl and Avery both
As a teacher I have taught several Morgans all girls and a few Avery’s all boys for what it’s worth
