Willa vs. and vs. Phaedra

Hey, we are expecting our second baby early next year and recently found out that we’re having a boy. We always liked the name Phaedra but aren’t sure if it would be a way to risky. We already have a five-year-old daughter named Willa. Tell us your opinion. Thank you, Caroline.

Phaedra on a boy? I’m sorry, I just can’t see it working. It’s a lovely name for a girl, but just doesn’t translate well to the masculine gender. I’d save it, just in case you ever have another girl. How about AndrĂ©? For some reason, I associate it with Phaedra.

I don’t think it is a great idea.
I would look for another more obviously male name. Phaedra was female (Ariadne’s sister) as are most with names ending in ’a’
I know Peaches Geldof has a son with that name but ...... ! Perhaps her husband’s name, Theseus, would be a better choice.
