Completely vs. Stuck vs. Suggestions Welcomed!

Hello! My husband and I will welcome our first child very soon. We are very conflicted about her name, though. My husband is from Russia and I am French, but we live in the United States. We do not know if we should use a Russian name, a French name, or "American" name. We do not want to make our daughter’s life is impossible because of her name! What do you think would be better? Any name suggestions? We use Alexandrovna as our daughter’s middle name, as it is very important for my husband and I. Thank you for your answers!

I would do a name that is easy to pronounce and spell! Belle, Natalia, Natasha, Anastasia, Colette, and Amelie would be cute!

Also how do you pronounce Alexandrovna?

Since you’re using a Russian middle name, I would go ahead and give her a French first name. There are plenty of names that are of French origin, but are not completely unheard of in America, either. A name like Claire, Isabelle, or Genevieve wouldn’t look out of place at all, so you could give her a French name without worrying about her being teased.

My husband and I like Belle and Amelie! We like Genevieve as well but my personal concern about that name is Genevieve Alexandrovna may be a bit long for a child.

Alexandrovna is pronounced alex-ann-drove-nah; it’s bit hard to type out the pronunciation so that is the best I can do for that!

Thank you; though we have both been living in the United States for many years now. My husband and I like Helene, but again I have a personal concern which is Helene can be pronounced two ways (the most common way for me is Ay-LEN) and it will become confusing because of that

Sasha is my husband’s nickname so that would be strange for us to name our daughter that

Camille
Arianne
Elise
Vivienne
Giselle
Valerie

Alexis
Katya
Anja
Irina
Sonya

I think those names are all easily pronounced in English. I also don’t think the middle name needs to be easily pronounced in English. No one will really use it other than family.
I think Elise Alexandrovna would be cute. She could be called Ellie for short.

I would go with a French name because her Russian heritage is already represented by her middle and (I’m assuming) surname.
