Please Pair vs. Twin Names vs. Together

We have Christmas twins, well they are due December 21st. We do not know the sexes, so we want to have name combinations chosen for all possible variants. The other special thing about December is that my baby brother (4th), mother (14th), uncle (12th) and late (wonderful) grand father (13th) all have December birthdays, as well as my husband’s baby brother (22nd). My grandfather’s name was Paul (no middle name), Paul is also my husband’s middle name. We would love to use Paul, but if we end up with two boys, we don’t want to give one a namesake but not the other (there is literally no one else we’d name a child after). BUT I also have an uncle and 4 cousins (between both sides) with the first name Paul- yikes! So, we are also considering using Christmas/Winter-related names (my grandfather’s absolute favorite and it will always remind me of him) for them instead of Paul. Sorry for the novel, but we are getting so close and have no clue what we’re doing. Anyway, we’ve come up with a list of names we like and would love for your help creating pairs- B/G, B/B and G/G. Thank you so much for your help!

For two boys I like Caspar (love it!) and Shepherd.

For two girls, it would be Winter and Geneva.

Christmas, December and Holiday are too tacky, in my opinion (sorry!)

There are also:

Nicholas (after St. Nick)

and for girls

Natalie (means "born at Christmas")
Nicole
Natasha

I like Tannon and Geneva :) Have you considered Noelle for a girl?

The only name I like is Caspar.
What about these:
B/B:
Caspar & Noel

G/B:
Caspar & Hollie

G/G:
Hollie & Ivy

Not a problem, we appreciate the help! We like Caspar and Shepherd together a lot! Winter and Geneva are also beautiful. While Nicholas, Natalie, Nicole and Natasha are all beautiful, they are too close to several of our family members. Thank you so much for the suggestions!

Tannon and Geneva is a great pair, thanks! We considered Noelle for a middle name, but not a first. Noel, Hollie and Ivy are not names we are considering but thank you!

Thank you for the combinations, we love them. We like Belle, but are unsure of it because of Isabelle, Isabella, Bella. We also really like Pax. Thanks!`

A beautiful name for a girl is Eira, pronunced: (eye-ra).
Its the welsh word for snow, and it’s extremely under used and if you have b/g twins Eira and Casper go perfectly together.

Jasper North
Gabriel Frost

Eira Blanche/Bianca/Blanca
Gabriella Joy

Caspar is a bit too reminiscent of the ghost is it not? Jasper seems safer to me.

I love the names that the poster above suggested (Winter Noelle, Tannon Shepherd, Caspar Pax). Since you like those three, I will suggest middle names for Geneva:

Geneva Snowden
Geneva Blanche
Geneva Christine
Geneva Nordica
Geneva Star
Geneva North
Geneva Scarlett
Geneva Crimson
Geneva Holiday

Alternatively, I like Geneva Noelle and Winter Joy or Winter Belle (I think Belle is much more unique and different than Isabella etc)

Good luck!

I was under the impression that Eira was pronounced AY-rah, with a long A sound. Ira is pronounced eye-rah, but thank you for the suggestion. Geneva Snowden, Geneva North, Geneva Scarlett and Geneva Noelle are great! Thank you!

I am actually Welsh, born in Wales.
Typically people who aren’t welsh tend to change the E pronunciation to A making it (ay-rah). But the correct pronunciation is (Eye-ra) here in Wales.
I also considered it for my daughter but we ended up naming her Aneira (un-eye-ra), also meaning snow in Welsh.

Aneira is gorgeous! The correct pronunciation of Eira is beautiful and we would consider it, we also like it with Caspar. Thank you so much, will put that on our list!
