Is Ingrid vs. Too Close?

Hi! We have one little girl named Astrid Cecilia and we’re now expecting our second little girl. We are head-over-heels for Ingrid but we’re worried it is too close to Astrid’s name since they both end in "rid". What do you think? Thank you!

I’m in love with Ingrid too and it’s at the top of my list despite family and friends telling me its aweful I love it! It is a little close to Astrid but if its what you like does it matter? Other names that are similar or of a Scandinavian/Nordic background are Erika, Linnea, Annika, Klaudia, Dominika, Elena? I have names like Ingrid, Elodie, Verity, Saskia, Ariana/Oriana, Noelle, Amelie, Sofia & Gretel on my list :)

Unfortunately we can’t use any of the Nordic names you suggested as they are all either names of friends of mine or names of family members! If we do choose to not use Ingrid we will be looking for another Swedish name as my husband is from Sweden and it is important to him to honor his heritage

I posted earlier with the Nordic names what about..
Astrid & Danica
Astrid & Zara
Astrid & Gabriela
Astrid & Johanna
Astrid & Eva
Astrid & Lena
Astrid & Ulrikke
Astrid & Esther
Astrid & Geraldine
Astrid & Greta/Gretchen

I like both Zara and Eva however since Zara doesn’t have that Swedish background I know my husband will not want to use it

They sound similar, but not in a bad way. They are very similsrvin style, but I think that’s a good thing. I think it’s fine.

I like Elsa, Mathilda, and Karolina though I don’t know if we would be able to use Karolina since I have a very good friend named Karoline
