Yes vs. No vs. Kind of

I’m writing a book and want to know if the different families names go together/sound realistic. The first family is Grace(mom), Lindsey(17), and Oliver(6 months) last name Michaels. The next family James & Harper(parents), Wyatt(18), Cameron(7), and Bailey & Brody(3) last name Gadsden. The third family Patricia & Gregory(parents), Stephen(19), and Gower(16) last name Wade. The fourth family Sondra & Ed(parents) and Kyle(17) last name Morris. The fifth family Vincent & Lisa, Bram(18), and Jason(14) last name Greer. Last but not least Melissa & Paul and Corey(19) last name Wright. If there’s any names that don’t seem to fit in the family please let me know. Thank you all so much! -young writer :)

Genie's Mailbag

Emma in Western Australia
We have a boy named Tyler James and a girl named Gypsie Jade. Expecting our 3rd, which is a boy. I'm in love with the name Olly, but my partner thinks Gypsie and Olly are unique names and Tyler is not, so it won't feel right. So he wants an ordinary name. Please help with something unique but ordinary.
Baby Name Genie:
In the space between unique and ordinary is a special category of names I think of as "antiques." They are familiar and well-used names that are not widely in use these days. For your son, I give you Oscar Jude - a perfectly ordinary, unique name.
