Hadley vs. Yes vs. No

My boyfriend and I don’t want to find out the gender of our baby, but we really want the name to start with an H. For a girl we picked out Hollie, and we fell in love with Hadley for a boy. We were sure about the name for 100% but when we told people they gave us strange looks and didn’t believe we want to call a boy Hadley. So? Do you think it can be a boy’s name?

The Top Baby Name is...

Name Votes
Hadley 0% (0 votes)
Yes 44% (4 votes)
No 56% (5 votes)

It’s okay. It’s not my favorite, sounds a little trendy for me, but it could work.

I know a little boy named Hadley. I think it’s fine.

I think Hadley is a nice name for a boy.

If you and your husband love the name, then name your child that. It should be something you two love no matter what other people think. Don’t let others change what you want, do what you two want for your child.

I teach a boy with this name but have also heard it for a girl. I really don’t like it on a girl, though. Use it!

I only know one person with this name, a little girl. But it sounds more boyish to me. I wouldn’t be surprised to meet a boy Hadley.

I’ve only heard it on girls.

Thank you! You’ve helped us pick the final name. We can’t wait for Hollie/Hadley to meet us next month!

I think it’s definitely more of a girls name.
