Rose & Lily vs. Am I Crazy?

Hi! I have a daughter named Violet, who is 5 years old. Now I am pregnant again, with identical twin girls. I had planned on naming them some combination of the names Julia, Alexandra, Catherine, and Audrey (my favorite names, after Violet). But a few hours ago, Vi told me she wants her little sisters to be named Lily and Rose. At first I dismissed it (too hippy, too tacky, too themey), but now I’m thinking of actually considering it. I don’t know, it’d be cute to have my 3 flowers, right? Please tell me if the hormones are making me crazy. Thanks! -Amelia

Lots of people like matchy names for siblings.

I think 3 little flowers would be rather sweet! If you like it then go for it!

I love it. Not tacky or hippie. Yes a bit themey, but not in a bad way because the names are all beautiful and go together great.

Rose Alexandra and Lily Catherine.....georgeous!

Rose and Lily are beautiful names. And paired with Violet they’re oh so sweet! Go with it mama!! GL.

I think there would be too much teasing potential. If you really want to go with a flower theme maybe find some more uncommon flower names. That way people are less likely to notice the theme and tease them

Lots of people have themes. I have a biblical theme, I know someone who’s kids all start with ’A’, and another family who has a really subtle theme, where all the vowels in her kids names are short sounding, no long sounding vowels. I think you should do it!!! GL.

I think it’s cute too.
I’d maybe go with Lillian and Rosalie (Lily and Rose) for short tho which would take away from it being too themed...
GL and congrats on your little flowers ;)

You could use them as middle names.
Julia Rose and Alexandra Lily? Or Lillian and Rosa nn Lily and Rose

I agree maybe Lillian and Rosalie. Or use Lily and Rose as middle names.

I think it would okay. But I think the idea of using them for middle names is even better.

Going with Lillian and Rosalie is not necessary if you’re going to call them Lily and Rose anyway. No one else would know that they had longer, less themey names when they hear you call your girls Lily and Rose. Just name them Lily Juliet, and Rose Catherine!!! GL.

I think it is a little tacky. Go with Catherine and Audrey!

Wow, thanks for all the input! I will definitely take some time to consider it (and probably make another poll, lol... get ready!) I think I will probably make them middle names, though. Thanks again! -Amelia
